Contact your dentist if you experience:

When should you contact your dentist?

  • Pain
    After 7 or 10 days
  • Persistent swelling
    After 7 or 10 days or if it reappears
  • Profuse bleeding
    After 7 or 10 days

Care and hygiene after 24 or 48 hours

Unless your dentist has given you other instructions, follow these steps during the week after treatment:

Brushing your teeth

Four days after surgery, start brushing your teeth again.

  • It is recommended to use an extra-soft toothbrush for the first few days.

Mouth rinse

Rinse your mouth up to three times a day.

Do not smoke or vape

Necessary Conditions to Maintain the Warranty

Regular check-ups every year

In cases of periodontal issues, check-ups may be more frequent according to the specialist’s recommendations.

Cleaning and maintenance*

Annual minimum check-ups for both teeth and implants.

Good oral hygiene

Maintaining proper oral hygiene is essential to prevent complications.

Implant Warranty Exclusion

The implant warranty will be excluded under the following conditions:

Lack of regular check-ups and maintenance

Failure to attend the minimum annual check-ups for implants.

Poor oral hygiene

Not maintaining proper oral hygiene or appropriate care for implants and prostheses, which may lead to infections or complications affecting the implant.

Trauma or accidents

Damage caused by accidents, falls, or trauma affecting the implant or prosthesis.

Manipulation or replacement

Any intervention on implants and/or prostheses by personnel outside of IOC.

Bite Alteration

Due to rehabilitative procedures in the same dental arch as the implants or in the opposing arch by personnel not affiliated with IOC.

Lack of Adherence to Professional Instructions

(For example:  not rehabilitating posterior sectors and overloading implants)

Unreported Pre-existing Medical Conditions or Systemic Diseases

That may affect dental health, such as uncontrolled diabetes, autoimmune diseases, or bleeding disorders.

Use of Unreported Medications or Products

Not informing the dentist about the use of medications or products that may interfere with dental health or osseointegration.

All Procedures and/or Materials

Including complementary therapies unrelated to the implant that may be necessary to perform a new treatment resulting from bone or gingival loss not attributable to a defect in surgical technique (For example: bone grafts, gum grafts, membranes, PRP, conscious sedation, or general anesthesia).

Smoking or Toxic Habits

Smoking or using tobacco products, or other health toxins, as this may compromise implant osseointegration and increase the risk of complications.
